The CHO-Power process: the result of Europlasma’s know-how
Europlasma is based in Bordeaux (France). It was established in 1992 and specialises in high-temperature industrial processes which use plasma technologies, applied to the reuse of waste.
The plasma torches developed and used by Europlasma come from EADS’ Laboratories where they are used to test the materials which provide protection for spacecraft against overheating caused by atmospheric re-entry.
Europlasma has gained experience in the use of these high-tech torches in industrial contexts which are very demanding in terms of performance and reliability. 32 torches using Europlasma’s technology have been installed for various applications in metallurgy and waste treatment.
The Europlasma Group counts 250 employees, and had a turnover of 29.6 million Euros in 2007. Europlasma is listed on Euronext Paris Marché Libre since 2001.
Our vision
Europlasma shares the current universally held belief that responsible waste management is achieved:
- By producing less waste at source
- By encouraging the return of organic material to the soil
- By recycling as much as recyclable material as possible
- By using materials which cannot be recycled as renewable sources of energy.
Acting responsibly also involves designing facilities on a human scale, which sit comfortably in the environment, and which can therefore be installed close to where most waste is generated and electricity used.
ENVIRONMENT : Assertion and protection of our environment is obvious to us; we must take it into account for our daily actions and our big decisions.
TRANSPARENCY : A transparent and clear information is a necessary condition for a modern industrial development and for the establishment of a serene trust.
INTELLECTUAL HONESTY : " Nothing creates itself, nothing gets lost, everything is transformed "; there is no miracle solution and we must show realism without diminishing therefore our level of requirement.
