puce-chopower Plasma gasification : a validated process

The CHO-Power plasma gasification process is an ingenious set of equipment which has been tried and tested.

Test platform, Moissannes, France.

The equipment which forms the upstream sorting chain is recognised and has benefited from extensive feedback. It has already been tried and tested.

The engines are supplied by major manufacturers who have already made adaptations for syngas use. They guarantee the performance of their equipment.

For sensitive elements like filters and heat recovery elements, CHO-Power has built up strong relationships with reputable suppliers, who have modified their equipment to meet the required performance.

The technological innovation of the plasma gasification process mainly relates to the core process with the coupling of a gasifier to a high-temperature synthesis gas purification reactor called the Turboplasma.

This plasma reactor benefits from significant industrial property protection, as several international patents have been filed.

The technical and industrial validations, among which the demonstration of efficacy in eliminating tars by plasma gasification, were carried out in July 2009 on the Caterpillar test platform in Moissannes (France). It was demonstrated that the tars are destroyed and the gas obtained powered a 1 MWe engine.
